The spider hotel is a prospective research tool devised through the transformation of an artwork into a functioning artefact.

It appears that spiders are attracted to cylindrical spaces. This phenomenon has been observed by my partner and I for the some years in our atelier space.

What you are looking at here, is a modular sculpture initially titled 'Pigeon Tower Shift'. Originally alluding to the architectural stylisation of Khaleeji dovecotes, the sculpture has since become an ethonographic tool for my speculative practises.
